I heard about the CS project almost 2 years ago, and as a traveler it immediately seemed like an excellent idea to me, so I decided to join. The CS project was born in Europe several years ago with the idea of forming a network of travelers and people willing not only to receive them for free, but also (and it is one of the best experiences in this project) to share with those we have traveled with every time we arrive at a different place; which is invaluable because it is locals who will teach you and suggest activities that are often outside the traditional tourist circuit.

The CS project has several security measures for both "surfers" and "couchers" ranging from verification of the e-mail address, correct address, and the highest is through a donation where a credit card is verified. But without a doubt the best security measure is the references (positive or negative) that one accumulates in his profile.

The best thing is that to join it is not necessarily necessary to offer a couch because there are several options; the most basic is Coffee or drink, in which you only share time (if you have it) with the travelers who are in your area those days.
We are currently almost one and a half million surfers around the world (the number changes every second) distributed in 231 countries (which gives you a super wide range of options). There are already some members in the Santa Elena Peninsula and the idea is to activate it more and more for the benefit of everyone.

Although the original page is in English, when you open it in the upper right corner you will have the option to change the language (in Spanish it is already translated on an 87%) and we continue working to have it fully translated.

Don't hesitate any longer, it's totally guaranteed. I've already had the opportunity to offer couch surfing and also to surf in couches in Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Venezuela and Colombia, in addition to the excellent moments with local surfers and in two years there have only been positive experiences.
