FIRST VICTORY IN A WINGS DATE
Our representative in the Ladies' category, Dominic Barona, achieved her first victory in a Latin American Surfing Association round, in a highly contested final against the Chilean Sofía Borquez and the Peruvians Nadja de Col and Valeria Solé.
Throughout the competition, even though the other competitors were achieving good scores, Dominic did not give up and regained first place.
“I came from my country with my mind set on first place. I knew that Valeria, Nadja and Sofia are very good competitors, they all stand out in ALAS and I was nervous at the beginning, but I found the waves I needed and I got my first place. I am very happy because it is something I never imagined but I have wanted for a long time. Now, I hope to be able to go to Panama and continue adding points to the ranking,” said our representative.
In this way, Dominic enters the general classification among the top 4, accompanying Hector Ordoñez and Adrian Dapelo who do so in the junior category and hope to confirm those positions from April 22 to 24 in Panama.
