I am a person who has lived in this parish for a long time and I am going to tell you a story about a woman who lost her son at sea and is still searching for him in the darkness.
She was a very simple person. One day, a hurricane devastated the parish, causing destruction and accidents. In one of these, the lady lost her son, as the gale carried him out to sea.
Two years of searching went by without results and four months later, the woman died. Her soul has been seen wandering at night by the sea, shouting her son's name and exclaiming: Give me back my son!
They say that in her grief she found her son torn apart and as she put him back together piece by piece she realized that he was missing a finger. Her fury made her grief dangerous for the sailors and fishermen who crossed her path, because after that there were many missing men and children.
To this day, she still grieves across the world's seas, mourning the loss of her son.
