Buen Dato is the name of the new television proposal that is broadcast every Monday from 6:30 p.m. on the UCSG television channel and that aims to make visible the voices and expressions of girls, boys and adolescents from the Province of Santa Elena.
It is expected that around 200 girls and boys from different communities of the Peninsula will have the opportunity to express their experiences and position their voices and thoughts in the social imagination of their communities and the country, taking on topics of interest to children and adolescents themselves, such as education, recreation, participation, the environment and gender violence. They will share community experiences and interview leaders and authorities in search of answers to their problems.
The programme consists of two blocks: the first is dedicated to interviews, reports and notes of interest and the second block will present life stories and a segment called My Community. Children and adolescents will be the ones to present the broadcasts, which will be recorded on the Peninsula, week by week.
“BUEN DATO” has the support of Plan International – Santa Elena office and the Radio and Television System of the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil.
“BUEN DATO” will be an authentic space in which girls, boys and adolescents will show their ease, freedom of expression, visual and auditory techniques that will motivate the rest of the child population of Santa Elena and the country, so that more and more girls, boys and adolescents participate in the community model they want to have.
“BUEN DATO” is broadcast on Mondays starting at 6:30 p.m. and is repeated on Tuesdays starting at 4:00 p.m. UCSG Televisión can be tuned to UHF channels 35 in Santa Elena and 42 in Guayaquil and 72 on cable.
