Since those of us who live in Peru, Chile, Colombia and Ecuador are in a high probability zone for earthquakes, we at Ballenita Sí Online want to share these tips with you so that we are prepared and know how to act in the event of these events. A well-prepared community is more likely to survive events of this nature.
HOW TO ACT BEFORE AN EARTHQUAKE (Prevention)

- Periodically check the electrical installations to verify their condition.
- Practice an earthquake emergency plan at home and at work, including at least two escape routes.
- Have a first aid kit ready. Also, have a small stock of canned food with a current expiration date.
- Always have the telephone numbers of the Red Cross, hospitals, fire department, police, etc. If possible, a small radio with batteries (rechargeable).
