Many people have told me that they dream of parachuting. I have the same dream, but before that I wanted to fulfill another dream in which adrenaline is the main protagonist: PARAGLIDING. That is why, at the beginning of this year I went to Crucita with a very special group that flew with the same excitement as I did. We were a group with the same goal or rather the same dream.
I was the first to put on the safety harness and until that moment I had not understood what was going to happen. I can really say that I was in shock until that moment… and that's natural, isn't it? You don't go paragliding every day…
And that's how, robotically, I sat in front of my instructor and simply listened to his instructions on how we were going to walk to the edge of the hill to start flying... Read carefully, start FLYING!!! When we launched, I finally reacted and it was at that exact moment that I realized I was flying in the skies of Crucita and from one moment to the next I felt like the owner of the heights, I felt like I was a free bird at last... I felt as if I had been waiting for that moment for centuries!!!
Every time I remember it, I relive it over and over again because it is definitely an experience that is never forgotten. And I wonder how I could not do it, if it is one of those moments where you finally feel free, full of life, but at the same time you feel so small within this immense world that surrounds us and of which we are a part... seeing the immense ocean, seeing its beautiful landscape (Crucita) surrounded by mountains, seeing a sunset that moves your heart... Yes, it is right up there, while you fly, that you feel that nature speaks to you because it was at that very special moment that nature transmitted a very important message to me: You and I are one, we are divine creation and we are made of the same thing!!!
Crucita is a beautiful place. Its 13 km of beach make it irresistible because you never stop seeing its immensity. Its blue sky, its green mountains, the warmth of its people and its wonderful sunsets make it captivating. But the best thing is that it offers you the opportunity all year round to discover your adventurous side, to experience the adrenaline, to feel an inexplicable set of emotions flying a paraglider.
