He made us look out the window and started shouting at the devil to ask for money. The devil appeared, he was a tall, white and handsome man with a long tail, who told him that he had to give up his daughters in exchange for the help he would give him. My father refused to give us up, we were very scared and we cried. When we refused, the devil went to look for another person in the town to make the deal.
The neighbors say that he found a fisherman willing to make the pact and that as a result of this, the man became very rich, in exchange for handing over his soul and other souls.
One day, the fisherman decided not to continue with the pact for fear of the devil and the latter, enraged, caused his death by making him fall from a hammock. It is said that the day he was buried, at night, the neighbors heard heartbreaking screams in the cemetery. The next day, the inhabitants out of curiosity took out the coffin, and when they opened it, they only found stones. The devil had taken him.
The same thing happened to everyone who made this pact with the devil since many people had seen him wandering around Posorja on horseback.
