San Pedro ancestral fishing community –
Santa Elena Province – Ecuadorian Coast.
I do NOT believe in “good living” (an adaptation of the worldview of indigenous peoples and the peoples of Ecuador included and forced into the constitution as a mere political marketing strategy so that we mestizos understand a discourse; in addition to managing an image of a socially responsible government).

I believe in Sumak Kawsay (full life, life in harmony or life in balance) and this is, in a plurinational country, with autonomous governments, with popular participatory democracy, with recognition of all social actors, with food sovereignty, with free/own education, with preservation of sacred spaces, and above all without oil, without mining, without violence, without authoritarianism, without repression, without criminalization of protest, without judicialization of community leaders.

All peoples are free and have the same rights to plan their lives according to their environment and their own direction of development without aligning themselves with the influence of the "progress" of the majority.

Abundance of chicha (Uyantza Raymi)
Kichwa Native People of Sarayaku –
Pastaza Province – Ecuadorian Amazon.
Let the true Sumak Kawsay be known, felt and lived!!! It is necessary to understand each other in our differences through respect and exchange in every sense, it is necessary to protect the mangroves, the ocean, marine species, flora and fauna, mountains, water, dignity, our cultures, our ancestral languages, solidarity economies, to preserve the living forest and above all the human beings who live and visit these spaces!!! Our diversity is our greatest wealth!!!
