{"id":1053,"date":"2012-01-20T20:27:00","date_gmt":"2012-01-20T20:27:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pachamamitaecu-org-720647.hostingersite.com\/2012\/01\/20\/segovita-mas-chuzo-e-venado\/"},"modified":"2012-01-20T20:27:00","modified_gmt":"2012-01-20T20:27:00","slug":"segovita-mas-chuzo-e-venado","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pachamamitaecu.org\/en\/2012\/01\/20\/segovita-plus-spear-and-deer\/","title":{"rendered":"Segovita, more &quot;Chuzo and deer.&quot;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/-HLXonG2LN1o\/TxnNxSYKGrI\/AAAAAAAABss\/_LFLcvaNiic\/s1600\/163930_143212619070044_100001439204619_282482_6807809_n.jpg\" style=\"clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"240\" data-src=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/-HLXonG2LN1o\/TxnNxSYKGrI\/AAAAAAAABss\/_LFLcvaNiic\/s320\/163930_143212619070044_100001439204619_282482_6807809_n.jpg\" width=\"320\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 320px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 320\/240;\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: large;\">It is always nice to realize just before starting a trip from Santa Elena to Guayaquil; that although there are always variations in the landscape that I prefer to see through the window, it could sometimes be monotonous; that I would have to share a seat with one of the most popular musicians, it is Miguel Segovia, (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/SegovitaySusMueblesFinos\">Segovita and its fine furniture<\/a>) one of those who in his daily life and creative search expresses that popular wisdom that is what keeps us alert as a society.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: large;\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: large;\">After recognizing us (Segovita, closed with a flourish the 2011 edition of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/chulluype\">Chulluype Festival<\/a>); a long conversation began that included the artistic part, aspects of his personal life in which his wife and his little one occupy a special place of reserve, his appreciation of the treatment of musicians in the land that currently welcomes him, Monta\u00f1ita, his new projects -non musical-, anecdotes of life and things that sometimes make us laugh and other times make us think, which extended to the same place where we had to get off, from where Segovita would advance once again to visit a recording studio, Fediscos in this case, where a new collection of 7 or 8 songs will be recorded together with other musicians from around the world.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: large;\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: large;\">Chuzo e venado, was one of the songs included in this new production, to which Segovita paid special attention and which tells the story (fictional or real, perhaps we will never know completely) of one of the many trips along the Spondylus route and of an accident that occurred near San Pablo, where although they tried to avoid one of the few deer that could be seen, it was hit, and of all the characters that gradually appeared. The inevitable traffic guard who approaches, but who surprisingly did not come to help but to see what he could get out of this terrible situation; of some young people who also wanted to take advantage, and even of the lady who, seeing the whole confusing situation, decides to quickly pick up the dying animal and take it away; only at night and while another party was being prepared in the legendary Monta\u00f1ita, to realize that the same lady was selling on the streets of this town, what she advertised as a delicious Chuzo e venado\u2026<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: large;\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: large;\">However, his concern was evident when asked what he thought about the current situation of the artistic movement in Monta\u00f1ita, because in his opinion, artists are not treated with a minimum of respect, since, as he warned, musicians are offered between 10 and 15 dollars (soloists) and 30 dollars (groups) per performance, which sometimes extends up to 4 hours. This does not matter the artist&#039;s career or quality. &quot;This is not a humane way to treat an artist,&quot; said a somewhat annoyed Segovita.<\/p>\n<p>While telling other stories from his past life, the trip brought us closer to our destination, it was then that Miguel announced a new personal non-artistic project that he has started in Monta\u00f1ita, and that is dedicated to the sale of cleaning products and utensils, the place is located above the main highway and bears his registered trademark SEGOVITA, Monta\u00f1ita Mall;
