Examples that can be mentioned are the buildings of several Clubs, such as the Ancon Club; the housing complexes of the Barrios Ingl\u00e9s and Obrero; as well as being the birthplace of the best Ecuadorian player of all time, Alberto Sp\u00e9ncer Herrera. Additionally, it is worth mentioning that Anc\u00f3n is the first oil city in Ecuador, since in 1911 the first oil well in the country was drilled there.
