{"id":1153,"date":"2011-10-03T00:44:00","date_gmt":"2011-10-03T00:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pachamamitaecu-org-720647.hostingersite.com\/2011\/10\/03\/carros-entran-libremente-a-las-playas-pese-a-normativa\/"},"modified":"2011-10-03T00:44:00","modified_gmt":"2011-10-03T00:44:00","slug":"carros-entran-libremente-a-las-playas-pese-a-normativa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pachamamitaecu.org\/en\/2011\/10\/03\/cars-freely-enter-the-beaches-despite-regulations\/","title":{"rendered":"Cars freely enter the beaches despite regulations."},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<div style=\"clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: right;\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"240\" data-src=\"https:\/\/lh5.googleusercontent.com\/-1kd-JJLMVLY\/TYLwQCPSnDI\/AAAAAAAAA-8\/YoI8B0Zpz_g\/s320\/P1020227.JPG\" width=\"320\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 320px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 320\/240;\" \/><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;\">Despite the fact that the use of vehicles on the beaches is prohibited, despite the fact that on some beaches there are large signs announcing it, despite the environmental damage (death and damage to the habitat of small species in the intertidal zone), and despite the fact that on more than one occasion there have been complaints by people whose physical integrity has been threatened; there are many cases in which several citizens visiting or residing in these beaches such as Ayangue and Ayampe; just as an example of what happens at the level of the provinces of Santa Elena and Manab\u00ed, fail to comply with this regulation; without there being any effective action by any of the control authorities on this issue, as reported to this media by residents and foreign tourists who visit these two sectors of the Ecuadorian blue coast.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;\"><br \/>In Ayangue, a couple of weeks ago an incident was reported between a foreigner, whose house faces the beach, and a group of national tourists, because the former claimed his right to enter the beach in his car, since he claimed that it was the entrance to his house. There was even a struggle, but the action of members of the community prevented the incident from escalating. According to reports (photo above) there are times when even the beach seems like a private parking lot for those who have their houses in the area.<\/p>\n<p>In Ayampe (Province of Manab\u00ed), meanwhile, residents say that it seems that there is no law or authority to control vehicles entering the seashore. Therefore, they have started an awareness campaign, reminding people of 4 good reasons not to do so: 1. It kills; 2. It crushes; 3. It pollutes; 4.
