We are no longer just talking about protecting a specific area of forest, but about preventing the systemic collapse of the entire biome in the region.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"7\">Between August 16 and 21, 2026, Ecuador will host the <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><a style=\"color: #008000;\" href=\"https:\/\/fospaecuador.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b data-path-to-node=\"7\" data-index-in-node=\"64\">XII Pan-Amazon Social Forum (FOSPA)<\/b><\/a><\/span>, The FOSPA summit, an organizational gathering of the nine countries of the Amazon basin, will have its epicenter of political debate in the city of Puyo (Pastaza) from August 18 to 20. This led to historical conflicts such as the highway through the TIPNIS (Isiboro S\u00e9cure Indigenous Territory and National Park).<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"26\">Currently, Bolivia has positioned itself as one of the world&#039;s leading importers of mercury, contaminating transboundary basins such as the Madre de Dios River and severely impacting the health of communities like the Ese Ejja and Tacana.
