With several talks being given by the Santa Elena Risk Management Secretariat, and evacuation drills for homes and institutions, the communities of Manglaralto, Ballenita and Montañita have been receiving training for weeks on the subject of preparation for possible natural disasters.
In Manglaralto the first evacuation drill has already been carried out and in Ballenita preparations are underway for the coming days, where it is expected that everyone in the community, the Fire Department, and the National Police will participate.
The residents of Ballenita are confidently awaiting this event, in addition to the commitment of Juan Antón, the first official of this Secretariat in the Province, to carry out the signage of evacuation and shelter routes and to support the community in the efforts to acquire first aid equipment and materials.
