But what happened? In the photos that were shared by several people on social media, you can see the appearance of colored halos, similar to a rainbow, around the sun.
These halos, called parhelion arcs, are an optical phenomenon that occurs due to the interaction of sunlight with atmospheric clouds containing ice crystals, according to astronomer Sico Soli. This causes the light to refract, forming a spectrum of colors around the moon or the sun. The phenomenon is beautiful to see and is completely natural and without any consequences.
The phenomenon could be observed in several provinces and even in some South American countries. This effect disappeared after a few minutes and the fear vanished.
