The Municipal Tourism Company of Santa Elena will inaugurate next Friday, October 28, the recently remodeled office facilities and Tourist Information Center, which are located in front of the current bus stop that travels to the north of the province along the Ruta del Sol or Ruta del Spondylus, on the streets of Guayaquil and Av. Virgilio Drouet in Santa Elena.
The work, which was carried out for an amount greater than 20,000 dollars, forced the EMUTURISMO functions to be temporarily carried out in an alternate center. The objective of the work, according to Antonio Láinez (Manager of EmuturismoEP) is "to offer an excellent information service for national and foreign tourists, in addition to improving the work environment of those who collaborate with the Company." The inauguration will consist of a cultural and artistic event and will begin at 10 am on Friday the 28th of this month, concluded Lainez.
Clarifying the doubts of some citizens about the future of these offices in view of the upcoming delivery of the new Santa Elena Land Terminal, Laínez assured that there is no problem because these facilities will remain as offices, while the Terminal will have a Tourist Information and Attention Center.
During the opening event of these facilities, the official launch of the new web portal will also take place. tourismsantaelena.com , which shows a virtual tour of the main tourist destinations in the canton and also offers a free guide to the tourist services (accommodation and food) offered here.
EMUTURISMO EP is a company with its own autonomy and is responsible for regularizing tourist, natural, cultural, religious, sports and health sites and for the restructuring and maintenance of tourist sites that are listed as Heritage of the government of Santa Elena.
