Over the past few weeks, the Kichwa Indigenous People of Sarayaku have been participating in a series of activities in the provinces of Guayaquil and Santa Elena with the aim of bringing the struggle and proposals of this people in resistance in the province of Pastaza to a larger audience in this region of the country.
The first collective visit coincided with the Festival Resiste Sarayaku, which was held as part of FAAL 2014 and brought musicians from the coast and mountains closer to the lifestyle of Kawsak Sacha de Sarayaku. This delegation also visited the Engabao commune (Guayas province), which is also undergoing a territorial defense process.
A new delegation with younger participants, belonging to the Sarayaku educational unit, also fulfilled an agenda in these provinces of the Ecuadorian coast.

On Thursday, October 16, they participated as exhibitors in the "National Festival for Food Sovereignty" organized by the Federation of Agricultural Centers and Peasant Organizations of the Coast FECAOL in which They showed musical instruments, traditional drinks, clay works and a wide photographic exhibition that captivated the audience. In addition, they spread the designs that women from the community drew with huito (Amazonian fruit) to the people who returned home with their faces painted.ego of this Festival the young people visited the tourist attractions of the city.
Another of the activities carried out by the delegation of young students was a visit to the Balandra Cruz del Sur Educational Unit where they toured the projects being developed there such as: organic gardens, fertilizers and planting land, dry/ecological toilets and waste management and recycling.

Finally, the delegation from the Sarayaku Educational Unit had a day of integration and recreation at the Ballenita beach resort in the province of Santa Elena, which concluded this day of cultural exchange. Emilio González, tutor teacher of this trip, thanks "all those who were part of and supported this tour."
