Otongo Mapali is a commune of the Tsáchila nationality in Ecuador, land of myths, wise men and healers, and is preparing for the Kasama (Festival of the New Day) where, in addition to celebrating with music, dance and gastronomy, a marriage is held between two members of the community.

Ceibo Audiovisual Production presents this documentary that takes us to the mysterious mountain that served José María Aguavil, a Pone (wise man) of the Tsáchila Nationality, as his temple, as his connection with the spirits of nature and where he exercised his acquired power.

José María Aguavil along with Abraham Calazacón were considered two of the wisest and most knowledgeable in the natural and ancestral medicine of the Tsachila Nationality.
