WITH THESE TIPS YOU WILL BE AN IRRESPONSIBLE TRAVELER FROM THE MOMENT YOU CHOOSE YOUR DESTINATION UNTIL YOU RETURN HOME.

1. If you take a tour, cover as many places as possible in the shortest amount of time. It doesn't matter if you don't really know every place, you'll definitely have plenty of photos to show.

2. Ask the tour organizer to bring packed food so you don't have to stop for lunch at the village restaurants along the way.

3. At your destination, look for fast food restaurants, preferably from multinational chains. This way you will avoid eating typical local dishes and producing a lot of waste.

4. If you go on a hike, forget about garbage bags and, if possible, bring drinks in non-biodegradable containers… wise nature will decompose what you leave behind, even if it takes thousands of years.

5. It doesn't make a difference if you throw rubbish into the sea, rivers or lakes. Nor does it make a difference if you kill JUST one specimen of an endangered species.

6. Only buy crafts from tourist shops: we don't want local artisans to earn more than the little they are used to.

7. Remember that you are here to have a good time: don't let the economic and social problems of the place ruin your stay.

8. When you are on holiday in a city, always stay close to the centre and the tourist area, this way you will avoid seeing what the local people are really like, their customs and culture, and try to interact only with foreigners.

9. If the region or country you are visiting has different customs than yours, do not try to understand them; you are the tourist and they are the ones who should respect your culture and not the other way around.

10. Always try to book at resorts or chain hotels. Don't even think about booking at an inn or hostel...
