The Environmental Management and Development Corporation ECOLEX announces to the entire country a new free nationwide telephone and email service known as GREEN LINE, to through which advice is provided regarding possible environmental infractions and crimes.

GREEN LINE It also promotes and disseminates the rights of nature and environmental rights, both individual and collective. All these services are offered free of charge.

ECOLEX is a non-profit organization that offers public and private management alternatives that aim to contribute to the sustainable development of Ecuador, directing its management towards the formulation of policies, legislation and management of socio-environmental conflicts.

According to ECOLEX, the types of legal consultations or advice on complaints cover the following aspects:                                 

  1. Lack of consultation on projects that may have an environmental impact on society.
  2. Violations by public officials in compliance with environmental legislation
  3. Soil, air and water pollution.
  4. Felling of trees and forests.
  5. Use of polluting technologies.
  6. Violation of our right to live in a healthy environment.


ECOLEX has worked on cases covering areas such as illegal mining, logging in protected areas and noise pollution in urban areas, among other issues.
