From the legendary Carlos Rubira Infante in music to the creations of Xavier Blum, there are many artists who have found their inspiration in our beaches and their natural surroundings. In this new space we will present the reviews of those who capture their dreams in works that later cause delight in our senses.

This first review will be dedicated to Camille Gamarra, a young artist who since childhood has been influenced by the natural charm that has moved between the beaches of Ballenita and lately very close to the magic of Machalilla Park; to create her creations and experiments in painting, drawing, sculpture and engraving.

Camille told us that with her work she wants to transmit social awareness, but always allowing the viewer to play their part in the work and find their own message, never accepting limitations in technique or style, but rather always experimenting with new things and letting her mind flow.

He has presented his works in collegiate exhibitions, also in Argentina, and is planning to have a couple more for the beginning of the season.

His favorite work is called “Faded” which is a social critique. The eye represents the human being and above it you can see the silhouette of a society with a storm above it. A waterfall comes out of the eye which means the amount of problems that society generates for us and its strength.

In the second picture we can see an umbrella that represents faith, sometimes humans use faith to protect themselves from all problems, but many times it is not enough (for a waterfall)

And the work concludes based on a thought by Sigmund Freud where he says that human beings would be truly happy if they returned to the primitive era where society did not exist.

We have seen several of his works and for those who wish to enjoy them, you can find them at this link http://cgamarra.daportfolio.com/gallery/119885 or you can join their fan group at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Guayaquil-Ecuador/Camille-Gamarra/263147460181?ref=share
