The transformation of the well-known La Playita beach resort and its surroundings has made it more attractive every day for the hundreds of visitors who come here every day for a bit of fun. Thousands of people, residents of the Guasmos, the outlying neighborhoods and even from the different provinces of the country, come in search of a place to rest, sunbathe and take a dip in the waters of the Estero Salado and its wide beaches.
For this reason, the ecological group Los Amigos del Estero Salado has chosen it, seeking to achieve a positive reaction in the people who visit or frequent it so that together we can have a clean and decontaminated Estero Salado.
Mónica Solano de la Sala, organizer of the event, states that "just beyond Guasmo Beach there are areas with a lot of garbage, where people have not yet been made aware" and that is why this new activity of the group will take this point as a reference to coordinate with the National Navy, National Police, the Canoeing School of Playita del Guasmo, and the community, which, in the opinion of the organizer, is a fundamental piece in the care and protection of the Estuary, to carry out an Ecological Day from the water, with music, posters with messages asking for the necessary importance to be given to this arm of the sea and with ecological messages.
The invitation is extended to artists and the community in general. There will be mural painting, face painting and other environmental awareness activities.
