The Peoples in Voluntary Isolation, also known as the "hidden" or "uncontacted" peoples of Ecuador, and their current situation and future prospects will be the main focus of the discussion that will take place this Thursday, October 24th from 10 a.m. at the "Amantes de Sumpa" Museum in the capital of the province of Santa Elena.

Eduardo Pichilingue, former coordinator of the Precautionary Measures (a protective measure) granted by the IACHR – Inter-American Commission on Human Rights in favor of the Tagaeri and Taromename peoples and current Coordinator of the Collective Rights Observatory of Ecuador is the guest of this discussion that aims to provide more elements of judgment to the peninsular community regarding this topic of great national interest.

The event is free and open to the public with a special focus on university students, especially those studying Community Organization and Development, Law, Tourism Management and Development, and Petroleum Engineering.
